India vs New Zealand 2nd T20I: Team India's blast, beat Kiwis by 7 wickets, 2-0 lead in series

 The Indian team bowled tight and did not let New Zealand take advantage of a good start. 
 In response, Team India chased down the target, losing 3 wickets in 17.3 overs.

 Team India lead 2–0 in five match T20 series

 Team India gave Republic Day a gift by defeating New Zealand by 7 wickets in the second T20 match played at Eden Park ground in Auckland.  With this, India took a 2–0 lead in the five-match T20 series.  The third T20 match of the series will be played on Wednesday 29 January in Hamilton.

 After winning the toss in the second T20 match played at Auckland's Eden Park ground, the New Zealand team scored 132 runs after losing 5 wickets in 20 overs and gave India a target of 133 runs to win.  The Indian team bowled tight and did not let New Zealand take advantage of a good start.  In response, Team India chased down the target, losing 3 wickets in 17.3 overs.

 Rahul scored his 11th half-century of T20 international career.  He scored an unbeaten 57 runs.  Shreyas Iyer scored 44 runs.  Rahul and Iyer shared 86 runs for the third wicket.  Shivam Dubey remained unbeaten after scoring 8 runs.  He won Team India by hitting six.  Rohit Sharma returned to the pavilion after scoring 8 runs off 6 balls.  Captain Virat Kohli was dismissed after scoring 11 runs.  For New Zealand fast bowler Tim Southee took two and Ish Sodhi took one wicket.

 Rahul-Iyer Did Amazing Again

 With the help of KL Rahul's second consecutive half-century, India defeated New Zealand.  India did not start well.  Rohit (8) failed again and was caught in the slip in the first over itself.  Tim Southee (2 for 20) did not allow the skipper Kohli (11 off 12 balls) to take his place too long, putting India's score at 40 for two in the powerplay.

 Rahul and Iyer then took up the task of grooming the innings, they batted well initially, but later opened up the runs.  Rahul maintained his superb form, his six over Thirdman on Blair Tickner was visible.  Despite a knee injury during fielding, Iyer carried forward his innings in the last match.

 Iyer targeted Ish Sodhi.  On this leg spinner, he hit two sixes on long on.  Rahul completed his 11th half-century in this format by putting six and then fours on Hamish Bennett.  Iyer took the same attitude against Tickner in the next over, but was caught at the boundary line in an attempt to complete a half-century with a six off Sodhi, with Shivam Dubey (eight not out) hitting the winning six.

 Indian bowlers stopped New Zealand for 132 runs

 The New Zealand team, who came out to bat first, scored 132 runs after losing 5 wickets in 20 overs and gave India a target of 133 runs to win.  The Indian team bowled tight and did not let New Zealand take advantage of a good start.  For New Zealand, Martin Guptill scored 33 runs and Tim Seifert scored 33 not out.  Apart from this, Colin Munro scored 26, Ross Taylor scored 18 and captain Ken Williamson scored 14 runs.  Ravindra Jadeja took two wickets from India, while Jaspreet Bumrah, Shardul Thakur and Shivam Dubey took one wicket each.

 India have mastered the chase, but despite this, Kiwi captain Kane Williamson won the toss and decided to bat first.  The pair of Martin Guptill and Colin Munro came to the opening for New Zealand, both adding 48 runs for the first wicket.  In the sixth over, Shardul Thakur gave the first blow to New Zealand by dismissing Martin Guptill.  Shardul caught Guptill out at the hands of Virat Kohli.  Martin Guptill was out for 33 runs.

gave New Zealand a brisk start, but the Indian bowlers made a good comeback and did not let the Kiwi team take advantage of it with four wickets within 33 runs.  In the 9th over, Colin Munro was made his victim by Shivam Dubey.  Shivam Dubey gave the second blow to New Zealand by getting Colin Munro caught by Virat Kohli.  Colin Munro was dismissed for 26 runs.  Ravindra Jadeja returned the dressing room by catching Colin de Grandhom on his own ball in the 13th over.  Grandhomme was dismissed by 3 runs and New Zealand's third wicket fell.

sending Colin de Grandhom (3) and captain Kane Williamson (14) in their successive overs to send the Kiwi team to the backfoot.  Tim Seifert hit Yuzvendra Chahal (33 runs in four overs) for a four and a six but Jadeja, Bumrah and Shami put the runs on the runs.  New Zealand were able to score only 23 runs in the last four overs, including only one six which Seyfert inflicted on Bumrah.  Meanwhile, Kohli also missed the catch of Ross Taylor (18), but Bumrah sent him to the pavilion in his next over.  Taylor played 24 balls but did not include a single boundary.

 Tim Seifert scored an unbeaten 33 off 26 balls to lead New Zealand to a respectable score.  Jadeja took two wickets for 18 runs in four overs while Jasprit Bumrah took one wicket for 21 runs.  Mohammed Shami gave only 22 runs in four overs, even though he did not get a wicket.  Shardul Thakur (two overs, 21 runs, one wicket) and Shivam Dubey (two overs, 16 runs one wicket) also achieved successes.

 New Zealand captain Kane Williamson won the toss and decided to bat and gave India a chance to bowl first.  The captains of both India and New Zealand teams did not change their playing eleven.
