  Adidas Full Form - What Is Adidas

  The full form ADIDAS  is Adolf Adi Dassler.  It is a multinational company that designs and manufactures premium quality sports shoes, sports apparel and other sports equipment and accessories.  The Adidas company also produces other products such as bags, watches and eye gear.  Adidas is headquartered in Herzogenaurach, Germany.

  In 1920, at the age of 20, avid player Adolph (Adi) Dassler, the son of a cobbler, made his first edgy shoe for track and field.  After 4 years , Adolph (Adi) and his brother Rudolph (Rudi) founded the German sports shoe company Gebrüder Dassler OHG, later known as Adidas.  In 1928, Adolf Dassler made special shoes in his workshop for athletes who participated in the 1928 Olympic Games in Amsterdam.  In the mid-1930s Adolf Dassler made 30 different shoes for eleven different sports with a workforce of about 100 employees.

  However, after World War II, Adolf Dassler had to make a fresh start.  So in 1947 he started with 47 laborers and made post-war sports shoes using canvas and rubber from American fuel tanks.  After this, in 1948, Adolf Dassler introduced the brand Adidas as the name of his company.  Adolf Dassler registered the three-stripe mark as a trademark of Adidas in 1949, and then after great success the company went public with its stock in 1995 and then looked back.
